A (Amrutha) Jose Pampackal

Amrutha is a postdoctoral researcher in the Rural Sociology Group. She has a PhD in Development Sociology from Cornell University where she was also affiliated with the Tata-Cornell Institute for Agriculture and Nutrition. Her research sits at the intersection of environmental governance, rural livelihoods, and food security. Her dissertation examined the food security pathways of forest-proximate people in Odisha, India using a mixed-methods, food systems approach. Outside of work, she enjoys being outdoors, especially gardening.
